Rehoboth Beach: August 17-19, 2007

As we all get ready for dad's upcoming nuptuals on the 25th, Kristin and I managed to get away for a weekend. We were invited by her boss and her boss' husband to stay at their new beach house in Rehoboth.

That's Kristin's boss in the pink dress, across from her husband in the blue shirt. One of Kristin's buddies from work is sitting next to him and, of course Kristin is to the left. I'm standing invisibly behind the camera.

As you can imagine, there was a lot of shop-talk.

Kristin and I walked up the beach to investigate an old WWII shoreline pillbox/watchtower.

It was all boarded up, of course, and locked. They should renovate one of these ... not many people remember, I think, that these were built in the first place, and that there was at least one infiltration by Nazi saboteurs coming ashore from a sub during the war.

A blurry view of our walk on the Boardwalk our first night.

More typical Boardwalk fare...

A view from the beach house with our black beetle convertible parked in the driveway with our host's SUV for company.

The development is still under construction and is only about a mile from the beach.

A short video...

Luis,

When I quit the company I was with I brought in 8 dozen doughnuts.

Actually, I brought in Cinnabons the first time but they did not accept the resignation (gave me a leave of absence instead).

So Doughnuts are far more effective to get your point across.
